The Shimmering in the Water Collection is inspired by the fae that inhabit lakes, wells, and waterways, and the stories that follow them through time. An homage to the lady of the lake, each piece is named after one of the many names she takes.
The imagery in this collection is inspired by fish glimmering just under the surface of the water, a flowing silver dress catching the evening light, and the image of an enchantress emerging from a magical pool of water, dripping and shimmering.
The pieces in this small collection were hand made slowly and methodically over a number of years, while learning the medium of silversmithing and living in a high desert landscape and dreaming of water.
Melusae speaks to sources of artistic inspiration and the muses we honor. The ancient, the magic, the timeless.
